A look at the South African education system from the citizen’s perspective with reference to the #FeesMustFall movement.

“What do you think of our current education system?”
“It’s a mess,” says a first year law student at UCKAR (University Currently Known As Rhodes). They claimed this was a mess because everything else in South Africa was a mess, and what’s the point of the window wipers working on a car if it’s got a flat tire? Unfortunately, this is quite an accurate description. The historical context as well as the current state of South Africa does not put the education system in a good place.
